MD along with senior officials of CPCL visited CLRI on 27.06.2023. Discussions
were held with Dr. K. J. Sreeram, Director, CLRI with regard to various
opportunities for collaboration like formulation & production of Petroleum Based
oils viz. Synthetic Tannic Agents, Synthetic Lubricants and Waxes being utilized
in Leather making. Additional prospects in the area of Sustainability, Safety & Risk
assessment and CSR activities were also deliberated during the said discussion
to take forward the Industry – Academia collaboration of CPCL with CLRI.
CLRI officials showcased various processes involved in the making of finished Leather.
