Centre for High Tech Technology (CHT) in collaboration with Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) organised a two-day activity Committee Meet on “Crude oil and its Processing” at Chennai on 13th and 14th of July, 2023.
Smt. Sujata Sharma IAS, Joint secretary, (Marketing and Oil Refinery), MoP&NG inaugurated the two-day meet in the presence of Shri. Arvind Kumar, MD, CPCL and Shri. Alok Sharma, ED, CHT. Shri. S Krishnan, Director (Operations) and Shri H Shankar, Director (Technical) CPCL were also present.
While delivering the inaugural address, Shri.Arvind Kumar, emphasized the need for knowledge sharing to overcome the challenges in the current geopolitical and economic environment in order to ensure energy security.
The Activity Committee Meet on crude processing has attracted nearly 100 delegates with a wide spectrum of representatives from different oil and gas industries like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, MRPL, HMEL, Nayara Energy and Licensors and service providers from EIL, Technip, Schlumberger, HTRI, Sulzer and Dorf Ketal.
A record number of 31 presentations covering a wide range of topics including Crude procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, Troubleshooting, Energy Improvement and New Technologies were presented over the two-days.
