Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and  Labour & Employment visits CPCL’s Manali Refinery

Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Ministry of Labour & Employment Mr.Rameswar Teli visited Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (CPCL) Manali Refinery today (29.09.2022).   The Hon’ble Minister was received by Mr.Arvind Kumar, Managing Director and other senior officials of CPCL.  A presentation on CPCL’s performance, initiatives, current and future projects was made to him.  The Hon’ble Minister evinced keen interest in the operations and future growth projects of CPCL and appreciated the efforts of CPCL.

During his visit inside the refinery complex, the Hon’ble Minister unveiled the plaque to mark the start of  the commissioning activities of CPCL’s new Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) Block. The commissioning of the SRU Block will enable CPCL’s Manali Refinery to process High Sulphur Crude on a continuous and sustainable basis.  The plant would also give immense benefits for environment protection.

Later, in the presence of senior officials of CPCL, IOCL and EIL, the Hon’ble Minister met the contract labourers, both men and women at the SRU Block area and distributed cloths to them on the festive occasion of Navarathiri. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister commended the hard work and dedicated efforts of the contract workers towards Nation Building.
