Mr.H.Shankar is a Mechanical Engineer and MBA in General Management with an extensive knowledge in business management, strategic planning, and leadership. With over three decades of experience in all facets of refinery operations, he has played pivotal roles in project management, leading numerous large-scale projects from inception to completion. His proficiency in contracts management has optimized costs and ensured timely resource delivery, while his in-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environment (HSE) has fostered a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Mr.H.Shankar assumed charge as Director Technical, CPCL and has been a part of the CPCL Board since 1st Oct 2020, driving innovation and excellence in various domains, including new energies and digitalization. With effect from 16th Jul 2024 he is holding additional charge as Managing Director, CPCL.

सी पी सी एल, निदेशक (वित्त) के पद का कार्यग्रहण किया
पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के दिनांक 01.02.2023 के पत्र सं.सीए-31019/1/2021-पीएनजी के तहत चेन्नै पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (सीपीसीएल) में श्री रोहित कुमार अग्रवाल निदेशक (वित्त) के पद में नियुक्त किए गए। उन्होंने दिनांक 01.03.2023 को निदेशक (वित्त) पद का कार्यग्रहण किया।
रोहित कुमार अग्रवाल (49) एक सनदी लेखाकार है और जेवियर इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट, भुवनेश्वर से मास्टर ऑफ बिज़नेस एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (स्वर्ण पदक विजेता) में मास्टर डिग्री प्राप्त किए। उन्होनें अपने आजीविका की शुरूवात वर्ष 1997 में इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन से किये और उन्हें गुवाहाटी, पारादीप, बड़ोदरा और मथुरा में आईओसीएल के रिफाइनरियों में बहु-इकाई अनुभव प्राप्त है। उन्होंने कॉर्पेरेट (वित्त) में दस वर्षों से ज्यादा अनुभव प्राप्त है। वे आईओसीएल में बहु परिवर्तन प्रबंधन समुदेशन की टीम के अगवाई किया। सी पी सी एल में कार्यग्रहण करने से पहले, वे व्यापार विकास प्रभाग, आईओसीएल कॉर्पोरेट ऑफिस, नई दिल्ली में मुख्य महाप्रबंधक थे। वे शादीशुदा हैं और उनके एक बेटी और एक बेटा है।
Mr.Rohit Kumar Agrawala (49) is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Gold Medalist) from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He started his career in Indian Oil Corporation in 1997 and has a multi-unit experience having worked in Refineries of IOCL in Guwahati, Paradip, Vadodara and Mathura. He has more than ten years of experience in Corporate Finance. He was Team Lead for multiple Change Management assignments in IOCL. Prior to joining CPCL, he was Chief General Manager (Finance), Business Development Division, IOCL Corporate Office, New Delhi.

Mr.P.Kannan has been appointed as Director (Operations) of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) effective 01.08.2023.
Mr.P.Kannan is a B. Tech (Chemical Engineering) Graduate from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He has been with CPCL for more than 34 years and has headed Operations in both Manali and Nagapattinam Refineries and has held various positions in Manufacturing, Process Engineering etc, prior to his appointment as Director(Operations).
During his tenure in Operations and Process Engineering, the major projects handled include Ref.III expansion, revamp of DHDS/DHDT/OHUC/HGU units, BIS IV and BIS VI units and fuel substitution with RLNG.
He has executed various Process & Margin improvement schemes, Energy Conservation & water conservation measures, production of value added products like MTO, JP7 etc., reduction of Operating Costs, improvement of plant reliability and availability to ensure safe refinery operations.
Shri. Subhajit Sarkar is an Engineering Graduate from BIT Sindri and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from MDI, Gurugram.
He had joined IOCL at Haldia Refinery in February 1993 and worked in Production Department for 16 years in Haldia and Panipat Refinery as Shift Incharge and Plant Manager. He had worked for 10 years in Gujarat Refinery in various capacities, which included Technical and Technical Services and was responsible for Process Monitoring, Planning and Coordination, Energy Conservations (ENCON), Process-Project, Operations & Maintenance and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
Presently he is Executive Director (operations) at IOCL, Refinery Head Quarter since February 2022, looking after the operations of the 9 Refineries of IOCL and Panipat Naphtha Cracker Complex.

Mr. Inder Jeet, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, started his career as Central Secretariat Service (CSS) Cadre Officer in the Ministry of Defence and prior to that, he was Registrar of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr.Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. Apart from this, he also helds various positions in other departments viz. Ministry of Textiles, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, National Commission for Minorities, Union Public Services Commission and National Highways Authority of India.
Mr.Babak Bagherpour aged 44, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering (Exploration) from Tehran Polytechnic University and a Master’s Degree in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom. He is presently the Manager of Project and Asset Department of Naftiran Intertrade Company Limited, Tehran, Iran. He has nearly two decades of experience in Oil and Gas Industry. He was appointed on the Board of CPCL on 27.03.2019.
Shri V. Satish Kumar, a Mechanical Engineer and a post graduate in Management from University of Lubljana, Slovenia, has over 3 decades of rich experience in marketing of petroleum products in various geographies of the country. He was appointed as Director (Marketing) of IOCL w.e.f. 28th October 2021. On 1st September 2024, he was entrusted the additional charge of Chairman, IOCL, while continuing his current position of Director (Marketing).
Shri V. Satish Kumar also held the additional charge of Director (Finance), IOCL, for a period of one year from October 2022.
Mr. Mohammad Bagher Dakhili aged 67, holds a Master’s Degree in Science from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He has 4 decades of experience in Oil & Gas Industry. He was appointed on the Board of CPCL on 23.01.2017.
Mr.Deepak Srivastava born on 30.06.1981 was appointed as a Director on the Board of CPCL with effect from 02.11.2024. He holds
a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology and belongs to the 2008 batch of Indian Ordnance Factories Service (OFS). Presently, he is Director, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
