- The 51st National Safety Day was organised at CPCL Manali Refinery on March 4, 2022, on the safety theme ‘Nurture young minds, develop safety culture’. The programme started with unfurling of Safety flag by Shri. S. Krishnan, Director (Operations), followed by administration of Safety pledge. Shri. T. N. K Bapiraju, CGM (T) and Shri. P. Kannan, CGM (O) were also present on the occasion. Director (Operations) insisted upon the strict adherence to the golden principle of ‘Safety First’. He also emphasized on the importance each and every employee has to play in inculcating a safe working culture at work. He also asserted that we should not be complacent and instead remain more vigilant & focused on safety practices while performing daily work. Safety awareness campaigns, Tool box talks and competitions were held as part of National Safety Day with the active participation of CPCL Employees and Contract Employees.
Later on, an interactive session was held by Shri. Arvind Kumar, Managing Director CPCL along with Shri. S. Krishnan, Director (Operations) with CGMs, GMs, DGMs and Plant Managers on the occasion of National Safety Week. MD stressed upon the necessity of developing young towards instilling workplace safety culture, Best practices of safety like well documented SOPs, Emergency Management plan and also the significance of ensuring PPEs at work. MD appreciated the efforts taken by team to implement BBS in CPCL and . Heemphasised to follow behavioural-based safety in the organisation to strengthen the safety culture to achieve zero incident. Director(Operations) appreciated team CPCL’s efforts on successful completion of recently carried out Ref-III M&I very safely and without any incident. Feedback was taken from all the participants on the general performance of their respective sections / units ensuring the safe operation of the plant.
