As part of CSR Skill development activities, CPCL collaborated with Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) an autonomous organization under the Dept of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt of India. The project’s objective was to provide self-employment and income augmentation of women in coastal villages of Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram District & improve their lives through brackish water aquaculture technologies like Fish farming, Crab farming, Sea bass nursery, ornamental fish farming, mushroom farming unit etc especially during the lean farming season.
