Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour consisting members of Lok Sabha (LS) / Rajya Sabha (RS) visited Chennai on 18.01.2021 to discuss the subject of Deployment of Contract / Casual / Sanitation Workers for perennial nature of jobs in CPCL and other PSUs. The Chairperson for the committee was Shri BhartruhariMahtab, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (LS).
The Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour and officials from Lok Sabha Secretariat held discussions with MRL Anna Workers Union and also with the Management of CPCL. The discussion was Chaired by Shri.M.Shanmugam, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (RS). On behalf of CPCL, Shri S.N. Pandey, MD, Shri Rajeev Ailawadi, DF, Shri S. Krishnan, DO, Shri H. Shankar, DT, Shri J.T. Venkateswarlu, CVO, Shri M. TamizhMudhalvan, CGM(HR), Shri K.Ramesh, GM(Admin) and other officials participated in the discussions. Mr.R.K. Kureel, Director (E-I), represented MOP&NG.
